The food here is really good but the service is never great. Today, I ordered LaBatt's. Sign says 3.50 during the baseball games. When I went to pay, they told me the signs were all wrong and they tried to charge me 5.50. When I said that the signs posted say 3.50, they just said "yeah, they're not written right". Had to get a manager to hesitantly agree. Good grief.

Company was great, food was good, service fair. Received my drink right away but no one ever came back for my food order. Now we had a large party of folks coming and going so I know that's a problem but pretty typical for a sports bar. Ordered nacho cheese for my pizza puffs and was never told about an up charge nor did I get the cheese until I was almost done with my pizza puffs. Pretty disappointed. Final straw was when the waitress decided to "keep the change" portion of my change and only gave me the bills. I could understand if she gave me more money hoping for a larger tip but she short changed me. Not my best experience there.

I came here for dinner on a Saturday night, around 6pm with my parents. The place was less than half full. Our server never introduced herself, and wasn't wearing a name tag. She walked up to the table and asked what we wanted to drink. She was unsure about the lent specials, and a question regarding side options. Different people dropped off all of our food, my beer came out wrong, and she dropped off the bill before asking if we wanted anything else like another round, or dessert. Our server kept disappearing and was nowhere to be found for long periods of time. The food was mediocre at best. I won't be in any kind of hurry to return.

It might be a little biased towards regulars, but it doesn't take long to become one. Great place to be.

Warning!!! Florentines reward program is fraudulent advertising! After months of wasted time trying to figure out why they were not giving us our rewards point, The owner John informed me today that they do not actually give 1 reward point for each dollar spent?! This reward program only applies to full priced purchases?! (no coupons, special offers etc.) 1 point for every dollar spent is not accurate at all! I just re-read all of their terms and it is very clear that 1 point for each dollar spent is supposed to be the offer. They seem to be making up the rules as they go! For the past 3 months, we have been going there 1-2 or sometimes even 3 times per week and generally spend 30-40 dollars (after coupon before tip) for each visit. We had been taking all of our business to Florentines in large part because of their fraudulent rewards program. We will take our business elsewhere from now on!

The food at Florentine's was good; however, the service was horrible. Shortly after finishing our meal, the waitress took our plates but gave us the bill about 20 minutes later. I left a reasonable tip (20%) since the service up until that point was satisfactory. After receiving my credit card statement, they had rounded my bill up to the nearest $2. Normally I would just let the charge go through (believing it was possibly an honest mistake), but this same overcharge also occurred 2 months previously (rounded up to the nearest $2 again). There are so many more reputable Italian restaurants in the area that I will NEVER return here. As Anna D. mentioned, I will probably go to Monelli's Grill Sports Bar instead.

After getting through all the smokers that hang out at the back entrance we made our way into the restaurant. Its a typical sports bar atmosphere. All the regulars are hanging out at the bar being loud and the rest of the folks just wanting to eat or watch the occasional game scattered around the restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly and the service was good. We had bruschetta for an appetizer. It came out quickly and was very good. We both ordered Stromboli's for entrees. Again, they came out in a timely fashion and were very tasty. Their small size is more than enough for a very hungry adult and reasonably priced. All in all not a bad meal. Not the greatest Italian style restaurant in town but not bad at all.

Was not excited when we pulled up but the atmosphere on the inside was great! Good, friendly and timely service along with great food. I got a veggie sub, yum!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
